| The dominant feature of the Ryusyokai crest of Sensei Shigatoshi Senaha is the phoenix. The phoenix is a mythological creature that burns in a ball of fire and then is reborn anew out of its own ashes. Behind the phoenix is a globe and and the island of Okinawa. This represents the Ryusyokai taking off from Okinawa and spreading around the world. The overall shape of the crest is a stylized letter "R" which of course stands for Ryusyokai. |

| Senaha Shigetoshi Sensei is the founder and President of the Ryusyokai. Ryusyokai is a Martial Art system of Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate as well as a group of affiliate Dojos around the World. The purpose of Ryusyokai is to share and preserve the ways and training methods of Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate, and to promote loyalty, honour, and respect. Students of Senaha Sensei and the Ryusyokai are varied and individuals under his guidance. From the base of Ryusyokai Okinawa Goju Ryu, training at the highest levels will be achieved. Be it studying Okinawan Kobudo, the training methods of Okinawan Ti, some are even having success in the cage fighting arena of MMA. |
