| Glyn Jones 5th Dan Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate 2nd Dan Japanese Ju Jutsu |
| Glyn is the founder and senior instructor / teacher at the Shinken Dojo. He has been involved in the Martial Arts for most parts of his life. Starting his training at the age of 7 years under tutelage of his father Roy Jones. This being in the mid seventies in the Art of Japanese Judo / Ju Jutsu. A series of fortunate local meetings and events,also led him to be accepted as one of the few students of Bill Webb Bowen. A no nonsense Jutsuka of the old school,with much combat experience behind him, including the battle for Arnheim. At the age of 12 years in 1981,upon his fathers advice, Glyn also began studying Karate. This being in the Shotokan style under the eyes of Cyril Cummins Sensei. |
| For a number of years training in both Shotokan & Goju Ryu Karate. However, the Karate of Naha Okinawa was the style that he chose to devote to. Glyn has been the author to many published articles in martial arts magazines, and has travelled extensively around the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan and Okinawa in search of quality training and teachings in the martial arts. Receiving both his 4th and 5th Dan certificates directly from the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai Honbu Dojo in Kyoto, Japan. Over the last decade Glyn has trained directly with Sensei Brian Hinchcliffe in the Art of Goju Ryu Karate. Glyn is presently being wisely advised and guided directly by the teachings of Master Shigetoshi Senaha, 9th Dan Hanshi of the Ryusyokai Okinawa Karate Dojo in Okinawa. Old style Karate is an art he continues to study, research, and teach at the highest levels and in all areas. |

| A few years later, a house move ment an imminent change in Dojo and direction. Giving Glyn the opportunity to experience a training variety of different Karate Dojos, Styles & Teachers. One of the most influential over a number of years being Slater Williams Sensei, a 6th Dan under Taiji Kase Sensei. It was during this time Glyn feels that he first experienced what he now believes to be elements of Okinawan Ti. |
